Executive Chef Nicholas Miller and his talented team craft from the freshest local ingredients, presenting tantalizing tastes with artistic flair.
Vice President of Marketing
Meet the mastermind behind the team that is 23 City Blocks Catering, Amanda! A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, Amanda has 18 years of experience in marketing, events and promotion as well as catering (not cooking, just managing). Having won numerous awards in her career such as eight International Special Events Society Saint Louis Chapter Louie Awards, St. Louis Bride Magazine’s Wedding of the Year in 2012, St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission 2011 Hospitality Super Hero, St. Louis Perfect Wedding Guide’s Rookie of the Year Vendy Award in 2012 and most recently again by her peers for Rockstar of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Philanthropist of the Year. Amanda’s passion is event innovation and culinary creativity. Her outside of the box, ingenious inspirations have landed Amanda’s collaboration on a wedding in a Spring/Summer edition of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine plus countless other awards. When not Amanda’s not day-dreaming about new event ideas, you can find Amanda lounging in her pool, Chardonnay in hand, with hubby Jason and her fur-baby named Hartley.
Vice President of Operations
Nick has had experience in almost every operations area of the hotel food and beverage world. A native of St. Louis County, Nick graduated from Mizzou with a B. S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a minor in Business. Prior to his position as General Manager, Nick endured three flag changes at The St. Louis Union Station Hotel working for Hyatt, Marriott and Doubletree by Hilton. Nick’s passion for service excellence and proven management record make him an ideal operations leader. Professionally and as a hobby Nick enjoys crafting signature cocktails and practicing the art of mixology. When he is away from the office Nick enjoys everything outdoors, fine dining and traveling. Nick’s European roots and world travels gives him a worldly view of the hospitality field that he is grateful to have as a career and as a way of life. You may or may not hear us refer to him as “three-piece” as he’s a big fan of suits!
White Chocolate Gnocchi? No problem. Scallop Corndog? A cinch. Custom menu for 300? Easy. Meet Nick, the creative chef we are lucky to call our own! Nick graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco in 2001. His experience speaks for itself, working at The Hudson House, the private dining room at Beringer Winery in St. Helena, California, with Executive Chef David Frakes. In October of 2002, Nick moved to St. Louis and took a job at Harvest, and seven years after, he and his wife Krissie became the owners. Nick has been named in Best Chef’s America 2013 among many other culinary awards. His forte is farm to table, seasonal ingredients, and his bread pudding has been rumored to be the best dessert in town. The 23 City Blocks team is envious of Nick’s wife and three kids who get to eat anything and everything Nick whips up for dinner.
Director of Events
Hey y’all, meet Casey! Considered the young veteran of the group, she’s luckily been able to call herself a part of the 23 City Blocks team since the inception. After more than 100 events, coordinating still hasn’t lost that spark that got her lost in this beautifully chaotic industry that we live in. From perfectly planned parties to those think-fast-on-your-feet moments, from non-profit galas to extravagant weddings, she’s mesmerized by it all. Nicknamed the #goldenchild, Casey’s positive attitude, passionate work ethic and sparking personality make her an invaluable asset to the team. When she’s not color coordinating her calendars, you can probably find her on the soccer pitch, both coaching and playing, or her yoga mat. This girl is always smiling, but especially when a strong cup of coffee with friends or when a home cooked meal with family is involved.
Sloane graduated from The University of Alabama with a Hospitality Management degree and concentrated her studies in Events. She found her passion for a fast-paced environment in the restaurant industry and fell in love with events during her internship in Los Angeles. Though she has travelled to many cities, states, countries, and continents, St. Louis will always be her home. She’s a huge fan of anything sweet, a good snuggle session with her two Goldendoodles, her color coordinated calendar, and an old record on a rainy day.
Hola, bonjour and aloha from Stephanie, the latest addition to the 23 City Blocks Event Management team! After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and a concentration in Hospitality Management, Stephanie went on to push her borders and explore the world for 3 years. During this time, she oversaw event operations in many different locations both domestic and internationally and with numerous clients. After 1,016 days of life between home and travel, it was time to come back to her roots in St. Louis! When she is away from the office you can find her cooking up new recipes and pretending to be Rachel Ray in the kitchen, exploring the city with friends or planning her next travel adventure!

Hailing from New York City, Margaret relocated to St. Louis in 2010. Although she is a proud New Yorker, she has come to love Saint Louis like it is a home away from home! Margaret graduated from Liberty University with her B. S. in Family Development. Her beginnings with Bissinger’s as the Administrative Assistant eventually lead her to the 23 City Blocks team, and we are sure glad to have her! When not at work, you can find Margaret spending time with her 5-year-old son and her newfound Saint Louis family.
